The 21st Century Technology Tsunami – We all know it’s coming. The digital revolution’s winds are already blowing on the beach. The next industrial revolution will change how so many of us work, or do not work, in the future.
Artificial Intelligence, the burgeoning Internet of Things, ever growing Big Data, and advanced Robotics and Sensors mean faster work flows, lower costs per decision, and vast improvements in automation. And more poignantly, automation of work in areas that were not thought possible 5 short years ago is abruptly changing landscapes left and right.
Usually patterning with a technology evangelist or CTO, Big Paper will help explain technology options in relation to current business environments, current opportunities for rapid prototyping, identifying low hanging fruit for successful technology adoption (most big plans fail out of the gate, start small!)
Yes, it is funny that we use Big Paper – a technological throw back really, to describe complex electronic systems. But that dear reader, is what makes it so approachable and less intimidating.
Big Paper’s Matt Orley is an electrical engineer by education. His first job was in designing handheld computers, and has been butting up against Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Robotics and Sensors in his career. While no longer a practicing engineer( he did give it up for Lent one year and never went back) his viewpoints in design, scale, sales and business processes are always influenced with technology.
